“Ember is a black brindle from Fall 2023. At a year old, she was roughly 27” at the withers and 136 pounds. She is my “assistant in training” for my agronomist job and travels with me 24/7. Ember is one of the most well-mannered pups I have ever raised. She goes with me to my EMT ConEd classes at my FD, meets all my growers across the Southeast US, and has been nominated as my Ladies’ Auxiliary mascot since she comes to all the meetings. On hikes, we do “sit and watch” so she sits to the side and watches hikers and their dogs without interacting. She has excellent recall and does not go far from me even in open fields. With proper introduction, she plays well with dogs and cats of all sizes and tries to be gentle with smaller or more nervous animals. As far as I can tell, she has no prey drive except for flying insects and crows, which she abjectly hates. Ember even puts up with a ridiculous amount of photos and videos and will usually stay for a pose as long as there are no bees. She is still protective at home and in the truck, but is sociable outside of her “home zone” and rarely barks.

I have always had large or giant breed dogs, but Ember is by far the best pup I’ve ever raised. She has exhibited none of the health concerns that can arise with corsos, which is what you hope to get from a great breeder. I will definitely be adding to our pack from Catawba Cane Corso in the near future, and have nothing but high regards for Kevin, the owner.”
